Clima Surround features a unique sole construction with side vents. Moisture and heat are wicked away not only via the upper side of the shoe, but also downwards via the Gore-Tex laminate and into a ventilation channel system. From there, heat and sweat can escape through the large side vents in the sole.

Good to know:
Your breathable shoes are wind and waterproof. But boots are only breathable when you’re wearing technical socks. Whereas cotton socks absorb and store moisture, technical socks first of all wick sweat and moisture away from your feet and into your shoes. Then the breathable shoe membrane completes the job of transporting the moisture out of the shoe altogether. That’s how breathability works.
